Praetor Heavy Mech

My character design & sculpting project for my 3D & Animation Year 2 module. The theme of the brief was "Master & Creature", with this being the sculpt for the "Creature". I took some liberties with the definition of "creature" here, but it still fills a similar purpose - a monstrous machine that acts as both a companion and mount. I also included the initial sketches for an alternative creature that the Mech won out over in the end.

Something I think is worth noting is that the mech was entirely done using Zbrush, mostly with Live Booleans. I didn't use 3DS Max at all for the high poly.

All programs were used under a student license.

Regarding the references:
-Includes images from Titanfall, Battletech, Shadow of the Colossus, Star Wars, Warhammer 40000, Marvel Comics, and Infinity
-The mossy robot in the top-right was a sketch for a PnP RPG a few years ago.
-Other images are all from google.
