RPG Character Tokens

A selection of pixel art tokens made for tabletop roleplaying games run on Roll20. As with my previous pixel art tokens, the style is influenced by Fire Emblem, though they were drawn from scratch.

The "Cold Hearth" tokens were made for a Song of Swords campaign, a game system that puts a heavy focus on armour and weapons. As such, the token needed to be quickly readable to give the players a solid impression of what kind of equipment a character wore, to speed up gameplay by allowing players to make quick judgements on what to expect from each character without having to ask the GM for further descriptions.

"Project Flechette" was a conversion of the same system, with the focus again being on armour and weapons; these scifi tokens are similarly built to try and convey all the information the players need to see about a characters armour on various body parts without excessive description.

In contrast, the specific details in "Road To Ruin" mattered a lot less, being a more classical fantasy adventure using the Iron Heroes system. Instead, the focus of the game was on a wide cast of diverse characters and monsters, and so tokens were designed with the intent of being easy to distinguish and to convey information about a characters personality via pose. Additionally, as this game was explicitly set in a Fire Emblem universe, an effort was made to return the style of the tokens to be more similar to Fire Emblem sprites.
